Alexandra Forgerson serves as an Instructional Specialist, developing and implementing high-quality instructional materials for K-12 classrooms. Collaborating with university faculty, scientists, and educators, she supports the co-creation of resources that support equitable learning experiences and help translate research into authentic student learning opportunities. Her role includes assisting faculty with funded project implementation, proposal development, and evaluation. She supports initiatives like the NIH-funded SEPA ASSET program and partners with MilliporeSigma to create Curiosity Labs, sparking curiosity in the next generation and training scientists to implement them worldwide.
Alexandra joins the ISP with over 10 years of experience in education. She began as an elementary science specialist at Valley Beth Shalom Day School in Encino, California, then taught science at McKinley Classical Junior Academy in St. Louis and later served as a Gifted Education Specialist in Rockwood School District. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Hendrix College, an MA in Teaching from Pepperdine University, and an MA in Gifted Education from Lindenwood University.
