The Educator Showcase is an annual event designed to elevate teacher leaders and administrators from across the St. Louis region to share what they have learned about broad range of teaching strategies and approaches by collaborating with the ISP.

The first showcase, held in Spring 2023, was an opportunity for teachers, administrators and math coaches from Mehlville, Maplewood Richmond Heights and Ritenour school districts to share what they learned by participating in the STEMpact District Immersion (DI) program, a three-year, deep exploration into the most impactful ways to implement equitable math instruction. STEM DI participants were joined by those from Julia Goldstein Early Childhood Education Center in University City for a showcase focused on math improvement. They shared short presentations and posters on a full gamut of research and work they had completed with support from ISP instructional specialists.

“We know that our district partners–teachers, coaches & administrators are the experts when it comes to their schools, classroom and students. They bring a wealth of practical knowledge that researchers and other educators need as we learn more about how to navigate very real barriers to improving math learning and achievement.”

Rachel Ruggirello, ISP Associate Director

The second showcase, held in Spring 2024, provided a forum for STEM DI participants to share findings from a fourth year focused on continued efforts to implement equitable math teaching practices throughout their schools and districts for broader impact. They were joined by educators participating in additional ISP programs, including mySci, STEMpact’s STEM Teacher Quality program, and Math314.
