WashU’s Institute for School Partnership (ISP) uses various approaches and practical tools to navigate the complexities of research-practice partnership (RPP) work. Appreciative Inquiry is one such approach that has proved valuable to the ISP.
This article examines Appreciative Inquiry as an approach to surface, understand, and provide solutions in RPPs. In particular, the ISP team shares how the approach has been effective in supporting improvement science projects, strengthening professional learning activities, and evaluating the health of the partnership.
