Jhané Simmons brings nearly a decade of experience in early elementary education, instructional coaching, teacher development, and school leadership. Throughout her career, she has served as an elementary classroom teacher, reading interventionist, instructional coach, Assistant School Leader of Instruction, and Senior Instructional Faculty supporting both novice and experienced educators in their professional development and paths toward certification. Jhané also taught Elementary Mathematics Content Methods for Washington University’s Master of Arts in Teaching and Learning program, supporting aspiring elementary educators in deepening their understanding of mathematics content and translating that understanding into rigorous and meaningful instruction for students.
Jhané is especially passionate about early childhood education and foundational skill building. She believes the experiences children have during these years shape their confidence, sense of belonging, and identities as learners. She is committed to supporting educators in creating learning experiences that strengthen students’ foundational skills while cultivating curiosity and a genuine love of learning.
Jhané holds a Master of Education in Elementary Education and a Master of Arts in Communication from the University of Missouri–St. Louis, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Community-Based Learning from Winthrop University.
