Washington University’s Institute for School Partnership (ISP) will join the National Network for Education Research-Practice Partnerships (NNERPP) in welcoming university researchers, state education agency and district research leaders, teachers and other educators from across the country for the 2025 NNERPP Annual Forum set for July 23-25, on WashU’s Campus in St. Louis, Missouri.

Engaging students in science with mySci’s hands-on learning

Lisa Everett knows an engaged first grader when she sees one.

“Engaged students are actively involved in the learning,” she says. “They are asking and answering questions, using the materials, and discussing the activity with classmates. They are driving their own learning.”

Even with 25 years of experience teaching a full range of grade levels from fourth to twelfth, Everett is keeping her own learning curve fresh.
