Tech Saturdays are a great way for K-8 Teachers to make connections to their curriculum using the latest technology tools and programs.

Facilitated by the ISP’s seasoned STEM educators, these workshops are:

Circuitry in the Classroom

Learn how to imbed circuitry into classroom curriculum. Teach students how to make connections with other students, connect to content strands and make actual electronic connections by exploring a variety of tech tools, including Microbits, Makey Makey kits, Little Bits kits, and more.

Drones in the Elementary Classroom

Learn how to incorporate drones into your math, science, social studies, and even history lessons. Come fly with us!

Coding in the Classroom

Come and discover how you can integrate coding into your content area.  Explore a variety of ways you can teach the fundamentals of coding to your students.  Sessions include several hands-on, plugged and unplugged experiences teachers  can take directly into the classroom.

Robotics

Science and engineering classes shouldn’t get to have all the fun!  Robotics is for everyone and every subject. Teachers can discover how to infuse basic robotic coding into curriculum, and bring math, science, English, health/p.e., literally any content area to life with robotic applications.  Robotic concepts can help build community within your classroom.  We will also look at how we can use simple robotics play to explain the expanding world of geospatial thinking.

Esports in the Classroom

Esports is everywhere, including the classroom. Find out how creative tech and gaming can increase engagement and learning. Explore animation, graphic design, and storytelling using game development and design. Participate in a Game Jam and maybe win a Gaming Championship!
