Washington University’s Institute for School Partnership (ISP) will join the National Network for Education Research-Practice Partnerships (NNERPP) in welcoming university researchers, state education agency and district research leaders, teachers and other educators from across the country for the 2025 NNERPP Annual Forum set for July 23-25, on WashU’s Campus in St. Louis, Missouri.
More than 78 research-practice partnerships (RPPs), including the ISP, are members of NNERPP, a professional learning network that brings together leaders committed to sharing strategies for effective collaboration among those in the education research and practice spaces to improve education.
Research-practice partnerships are long-term, mutually beneficial collaborations that promote the production and use of rigorous research about problems of practice. The ISP has been a member of NNERPP since 2022, and operating in the RPP space with a number of signature programs, including mySci, Math314, and STEM District Immersion (DI).

“We are very excited to welcome our peers nationwide to St. Louis and Washington University,” says ISP Associate Director Rachel Ruggirello. “At the ISP, we have long been committed to forging lasting partnerships with educators to co-develop solutions to problems of practice in their classrooms, schools, and districts. By listening to and meaningfully engaging with these committed leaders as they articulate authentic needs, we can support them to incorporate research evidence into their practice, while also facilitating research that is practically relevant and actionable. This collaborative approach bridges the gap between research and practice, ensuring our work is relevant and impactful for all of the unique learning communities we serve.”
The theme for the 2025 Annual Forum will be “Meeting the Moment: Connection, Collaboration, and Creativity for the Long Term.” More information about the event and previous Forums can be found here.
