Educators in the St. Louis region who teach students in grades three through eight will have an opportunity to build their digital literacy by participating in the AT&T Digital Navigation Program.

With generous support from AT&T the free professional learning program will be administered by WashU’s Institute for School Partnership (ISP) and launches in September 2025. Registration is open now.

Integrating technology into classrooms is crucial. Many K-12 educators face challenges with digital resources, diverse student needs and varying degrees of digital literacy among teachers. By supporting teachers in our region with this free resource, we can help them build digital literacy skills and confidence using technology in the classroom. Now, more than ever, it is critical that we address professional needs of educators who are essential to the success of our students and the community. We are delighted to team up with AT&T to build this kind of capacity for our educators.”

Victoria May, ISP Executive Director

Designed and delivered by seasoned instructional specialists with extensive working knowledge of classroom technology tools, the AT&T Digital Navigation Program includes two workshop tiers, mentorship, and a capstone project.

“The pace of technological change will only increase in the years ahead, which is why this program is so important,” said Craig Unruh, president, AT&T Missouri. “This initiative will help our educators keep pace and equip them with the additional tools they need to help our children excel.”

This program is part of AT&T’s initiative  to help address the digital divide through internet accessibility, affordability and safe adoption. AT&T is committing $5 billion to help 25 million people get and stay connected to high-speed internet by 2030.

Tier 1 (Introduction to Digital Navigation) takes place September 29-20 and October 10-11, 2025, on WashU’s Danforth Campus. Teachers will build essential digital and technical skills, conquer technology fears, and prepare to dive into digital tools integration that will be the focus of Tier 2. Registration is open now.

Tier 2 (Digital Navigation Immersion) is set for January 23-24 and February 20-21, 2026, on WashU’s Danforth Campus. Teachers will embark on a personal journey with a digital navigation mentor, harnessing Tier 1 skills to explore how topics like AI, data modeling, computational thinking, and more can be integrated into existing curriculum. Registration for Tier 2 opens in December 2025.
